So the pregnancy journey begins...

Welcome to The Healthy Baby Bump! Over the next 7 months, I will be documenting my pregnancy: nutrition, exercise, doctor's appointments, books I am reading, etc. getting ready for Baby Myers!

It's actually a pretty amazing (and somewhat long) story of why my pregnancy is such a miracle. So instead of typing it, I'd rather tell it... :)

  4. I'm so excited for you, Michelle. Remembering the old days in Germantown, then playing 'catch up' online with you and your journey, I am thrilled at how God has blessed you. Your mom and dad are still, in my heart, the top of the list of the finest, strongest people I'll ever know. It's nice to see that same strong faith in you! I could quote Bible verses all day long about this, but here's a lyric from one of my favorite shows by one of my fav. composers - Stephen Schwartz - "you cannot close the acorn once the oak begins to grow - and you cannot close your heart to what it fears and needs to know - that the hardest part of love - the rarest part of love - and the truest part of love - is the letting go." (from: Children of Eden) How wonderful you had to "let go" to begin! Welcome to the most fantastic part of the journey! Love, Susan Braden

  5. Congratulations, Michelle (and James)! I am excited this blessing has followed the publishing of your first book. God is definitely working in your life, and it's incredible what He does with a willing heart.

The reason I stopped teaching Group X was that THE DAY I was suppose to call and set up an interview/audition, we found out we were expecting. So, I set it aside and 18 months later, I have survived giving up teaching (temporarily). I know you'll get back into teaching when it's right again for you and your family. With a passion like yours, it's not likely to be far from your mind.
Don't give yourself too hard of a time if you're just too exhausted to work out. I think I made it through 2 Turbo classes as a participant while pregnant before I decided to take it easy! Again, so happy for you guys, and you'll be in my prayers for a healthy pregnancy!
If you need a laugh, you can stop by my mommy blog and read the horrors and joys of a first time mom!

Jodie, thank you so much! Yes, I do think this is just for a season...I do love to teach, so I know I will get back to it - just need to put my focus elsewhere for now. I really appreciate you! I will definitely be checking out your mommy blog!
